  2.  #33-53 The leprosy in a house is unaccountable to us, as well as
  3.  the leprosy in a garment; but now sin, where that reigns in a
  4.  house, is a plague there, as it is in a heart. Masters of
  5.  families should be aware, and afraid of the first appearance of
  6.  sin in their families, and put it away, whatever it is. If the
  7.  leprosy is got into the house, the infected part must be taken
  8.  out. If it remain in the house, the whole must be pulled down.
  9.  The owner had better be without a dwelling, than live in one
  10.  that was infected. The leprosy of sin ruins families and
  11.  churches. Thus sin is so interwoven with the human body, that it
  12.  must be taken down by death.

  16.  wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath
  17.  quickened us by his grace, #Eph 2:4,5|, we shall manifest the
  18.  change by repenting, and forsaking former sins. Let us follow
  19.  after holiness, and let us compassionate other poor lepers, and
  20.  desire, seek, and pray for their cleansing.

  24.  - We need not be curious in explaining these laws; but have
  25.  reason to be thankful that we need fear no defilement, except
  26.  that of sin, nor need ceremonial and burdensome purifications.
  27.  These laws remind us that God sees all things, even those which
  28.  escape the notice of men. The great gospel duties of faith and
  29.  repentance are here signified, and the great gospel privileges
  30.  of the application of Christ's blood to our souls for our
  31.  justification, and his grace for our sanctification.
